Haymaker Public House Employee Relief Fund

Hello,
I’m the General Manager of Haymaker Public House in Ann Arbor, MI. For the past week or so, I’ve been faced with the task of making some of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Weighing the safety of my employees with their ability to maintain an income proved to be a no-win situation. We’re currently able to employ a skeleton crew for delivery/carry-out, but I foresee that being shut down in the very near future as well. The business and all of its employees will have no income and – realistically – not many ways to find substitute income streams.
As a relatively young business still working toward profitability, the extreme reduction in revenue in a high-rent district does not afford us the ability to pay non-working staff during this time, unfortunately. The focus for us has shifted to ensuring we have the ability to provide those jobs when things work their way back to what will inevitably be “the new normal.” As things unfold around the country and around the world, the current shutdown expiration date of March 30th sounds extremely optimistic.
I’m asking you for help in supporting our staff during this difficult time. I’m doing this for the people that have stood by me, served as my support system, and worked extremely hard to make Haymaker a place where I’m happy and proud to work. They are my family and my family needs help. Times are tough for many of us, so if times are tough for you, please take care of yourself first. If, on the other hand, you are willing and able to help out some really great people, it would be greatly appreciated.
100% of proceeds will be distributed to Haymaker staff, minus any applicable fees.
