Humanitarian Work In Fiji

For the past year, I have been contemplating what I wanted to do this summer.  I knew I wanted to spend my summer in volunteer efforts but wasn't sure which organization I wanted to work with. However, once I found the Fiji Program with HELP International, I knew I had found a program that I would love to be a part of.  

The Mission of HELP International is to empower people to fight global poverty through sustainable, life-changing development programs. Potential projects I may work on include:

Promotion and evaluation of World Health Organization programs
Focus groups with village women for Ministry of Health
School and family gardens
Classes on nutrition, exersice, and non-communicable diseases
Music classes in schools
Programs for children with disabilities
Teacher trainings with Ministry of Education
Microbusiness mentoring to recipients of microcredit loans
Financial literacy workshops  

I will be able to utlize my creative capabilities by creating projects that will help empower the people of Fiji.  I love that I will be able to be a part of a program that will give them hope in hard circumstances.
