Hayler Shipmates helping a Shipmate

Mike and Julie  Allen have had a difficult year. Mike is not working, and with the Current Pandemic, struggling to find work. His situation has become more difficult as Julie was diagnosed with cancer. It moved quickly and she has recently passed. Without income and significant medical bills, his need for some help is significant. Julie was his rock and the only person I know that could tame the Pig Farmer. They had an amazing relationship that was full of love and joy. It was wholly apparent if you were ever blessed to see them together.

We had a very special crew on the USS Hayler DD 997. It is amazing at the bonds we created and continue to hold true today. I have always said my service was really a gift to me. I learned so much and if I needed a kidney I know there would be a great many Ex-Hayler Sailors lined up to help me out. It has been a family that I have always been proud in which to be a member.

Our brother, Mike Allen, AKA Pig Farmer, needs our help. If you are able to help our Shipmate out, I know we can ease some burdens during a very, very difficult time. Thanks to all the Steamin' Demons that still have his 6. I know him to be an honorable caring man and he will be so appreciative of your help in any form, including prayers.
