Haylees Hope Fund

Donation protected
Haylee’s Hope fund - has been set up to provide financial support for Haylee and her family.
Haylee is 11 years old, she has AVM - a brain arteriovenous malformation on her brain stem. It is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain. She was diagnosed in May 2017, suffered multiple brain bleeds and massive amounts of steroids have caused more complications. On Monday, she was admitted to Children’s due to a brain bleed, high BP and low heart rate. She is now in ICU.

We hope that you will find a place in your heart to donate. Any amount will help take some of the financial burden away as the family is focused on caring for Haylee.

Pray for comfort for the family, knowledge for the medical staff and for complete healing over Haylee.

3/21/18 update -

Made a bunny craft - If you only knew how fun this was and how much my heart is so full right now. This is the first thing she has done since March 8th. This is such improvement and her feeling like doing it was more amazing. We didn’t make it to color yet as this tired her out but we will get there ! It’s gonna take baby’s steps but my God is soooo good! ***she is smiling even though you can’t tell ☺️

3/16/18 update -
We are still in picu and making small improvements daily. It's affected the left side this time and a lot of her motor skills. Her chewing isn't good so she's on a mechanical soft diet with last night being first time she ate in a week.
- She can't close her left eye and it's become very dry even with patch and salve put in every two hours. Fear is she could have a lot of problems with that eyeand possible blindness so they will operate next week to sew that eye shut to preserve it so it doesn't dry out the cornea. That will be temporary until she shows signs she may be able to open and close it.
-Physical and speech and occupational therapy are all working with her. She is up to sitting in chair for an hour and still can't walk. She can move hands and arms and legs. Can assist some in pushing herself up in bed using her feet and pushing against bed. She can talk although speech is slurred.
-She has started having hallucinations and last night was a rough night. The doctors said that is very normal for brain bleeds and for kids that have been in intensive care for an extended time. They have started her in meds that will help with that.

Continue to pray, this will be a really long recovery.
