Hayden’s Life Flight/Hospital Bills

I am raising money for a dear friend of mine, Angie Heck. Angie and I were pregnant close the the same time when I had Joey. Hayden was one of Joey’s very first friends, Hayden is 17 and was so proud to have bought his own motorcycle that they took it out just to try it out on Sunday Morning (12/17). On his first ride out, he crashed his bike and broke his back. Because he was in Ocotillo, they took him the the closest hospital in Brawley, but after seeing his injuries, they life flighted him to Scripps Mercy in San Diego. The life flight alone came to $35,000 and Angie is not getting any answers as to whether they will cover any of that, let alone their portion of the hospital bills. She has been a single mom since the day he was born and I have to say, they are each other’s entire world. She has no idea how they are going to pay for even their portion, so I thought I would help by starting this page for them. He has been in the hospital for 24 hours and they haven’t even been able to do the MRI yet, and the waiting and not knowing is driving them crazy. I’ve never done one of these before, but this just breaks my heart for them. Please share or help in any way you can. Any amount will help.
