Hawthorne Community Association : Building Repairs

Dear Community, Friends and Neighbors:
Our beloved Hawthorne House on Hawthorne Road in Raymond is in much need of some structural building repairs, which fall well outside our Hawthorne Community Association treasury savings at this time.
An engineer has prepared a report detailing the the necessary repairs to reinforce the floor structure and repair or replace significant portions of the crumbling foundation. Cost estimates are in excess of $50,000. The roof cover needs replacing and sagging, structural roof supports require repair. Cost estimates for the roof are approximately $10,000. Siding on the south side of the building also needs replacing. Including weatherproofing and painting, the cost estimates are about $8,000 for the siding.
