LCStudios is a small, LGBT-owned and operated Jewelry studio in Warwick NY, in the Hudson Valley. Started by Lisa Cullen in May of 2017, LCStudios has made strides in this short year and a half, in our campaign to make a name for ourselves and get our jewelry out into the world.
Lisa is a single mother, working to keep her three kids in their home. She started out as a collage artist, but looking for some practicality, in hopes to make a living, she began to experiment with jewelry. Pretty quickly she found her footing in paper and resin jewelry, and began to grow the business we have today.
But of course, being a single mother and a working artist doesn't quite pay the bills. LCStudios is our pride and joy, but at the end of the day it takes real collateral to run. We've worked hard to bring you unique fashion jewelry at prices anyone can afford, because we believe in accessibility and sharing the wealth. Now, we need some help.
September 2018, for New York Fashion Week, we were blessed to be asked to participate in the Flying Solo NYC runway show, at Pier 59. It was an amazing event, put together by tons of incredible designers, artists and volunteers.
And now, we've once again been blessed and have been asked to participate in Flying Solo's Paris Fashion Week runway show! (Sept. 25 - Oct. 3)
This is where things get tricky for us: The cost of participation will be $3,000 NOT including air fair, overnight accommodations, transportation, food, etc.
We've set up this GoFundMe page at $5,000 to cover all our possible expenses; we really can't be too careful. This Paris show is our next, most amazing opportunity-- it's a chance to get the LCStudios name out there, and really gain some traction. As much as we cannot afford to go, we also cannot afford to miss it.
