Have A Heart And Help Josh Fix His

Donation protected
As many of you may know, just shy of four years ago our great friend Josh Schiller discovered he had a faulty heart valve. The diagnosis came to a surprise to many and Josh underwent open heart surgery at the young age of 38.
After a lengthy period of healing and a rally of love and support from friends and family Josh made a successful recovery. We saw an incredible result with the repair of his Mitral valve. Bounds of new energy!  A fragile heart was now pumping blood correctly, as it should.  Now this reflected in what we saw as a new lease on life, with an even stronger focus and commitment to health. Josh was determined and made some incredible healthy life choices. All was on the right path...

Then this past November came. Admist the winter of cold rainy days and the ever looming worry of the cold and flu season. Josh awoke one morning  not feeling so well. Symptons were typical of the beggining stages of a cold. As we all know and are told, this soon will pass. We take cold medicine and if it's really bad we find ourselves heading to our Primary Doctors for some sort of answer, for some sort of relief. Josh did just this.

However the this did not pass. This feeling of unwell continued and continued for nearly two months.
Now right before New Years Eve Josh spiked with a teperature of 104.7 degrees. He went to the Emergency Room, had some blood works done and some more tests and was ultimatly sent home. The next day he received a call and was told he needed to return to the ER. He then was admitted into the hospital.
It was determined that Josh had a terrible blood infection. He was diagnosed with Endocarditis. This is caused by an infectious bacteria which in turn can spread through your bloodstream and then attach itself to damaged areas of the heart. Unfortunatley this bacteria has damaged the Mitral valve of Josh's heart.
The only way to fix his heart was to yet again undergo open heart surgery. This time the valve had to be completely replaced with a carbon mechanical artificial valve.
After a lengthy amount of time and multiple test/scans and surgery, Josh is on the path to a successful recovery with a stronger heart.

We have set this page up in hopes of helping Josh and Erin tackle the extensive amount of medical bills that that they will soon be facing. We would really appreciate your help. Any amount is helpful and if you're not in a position to help with a donation your effort to share our cause would be really meaningful.

Thank you all, we are forever greatful!
