Our Mission:
We are a voluntary force of workers striving to help support our local heroes within the NHS and Care environments.
It's no surprise that during these times the NHS and other key workers are struggling to find the PPE that they so desperately need to keep them safe. In addition, the requirement to wear masks all day is causing problems for some keyworkers with chaffing and discomfort behind the ears.
That is where we come in.
We have created a community of like-minded individuals who really want to help whether it be sewing, 3D printing or laser cutting.
We are creating Full-Face Visors and Face Mask Strap Headbands to give to any key worker during these difficult times.
All of our items are absolutely free to all NHS staff and essential key workers such as carers, GPs, Dentists, Care homes and more!
Any donations to keep us in operation are hugely appreciated. Even if you can’t help with sewing or 3D printing, you can help us by making a small donation.
For every reel of filament and pack of sheets that we are able to purchase we will be able to make another 80-90 visors. Every little thing you donate will help put another headband or visor in someone's hands.
The Facts:
1x Reel of Filament makes 80-90 visors
1x Pack of Acetate Sheets makes 100 visor shields
1x Metre by Metre square of fabric makes 12 headbands
What we will be doing with your donation:
We will be utilising the donations to help keep our entire workforce well... working.
We will be re-supplying the materials and essential items needed to complete the headbands and face shields that we are making.
We will be buying items such as Printing Filament, 240micron A4 Acetate Sheets, Elastic, Buttons, Jersey Fabric, Packaging Materials, Labels and more!
