#ibbyonthegroundinhouston

Harvey moves North and the real work has already begun on the ground in Houston.  Please help Hustonians helping Hustonians directly by giving here.

The Virginia Bibys are so thankful that our sister, Ibby (Elizabeth Biby Bandercan), and her family are safe in Houston.   However, as  the flood waters of Harvey start to receed, Ibby and her team (of neighbors and soccer players and friends and of course Hugo and Grace!) are already helping people clean out their flooded homes.

They are moving quickly.  The temperatures are  rising and that means the mold will soon take hold in the flooded households.

They are helping some of the most vulnerable members of their community, including her ESL students families, and other folks who were compltely devastated by this disaster.

Their needs right now are concrete:

 - gloves  - bleach  - hydrogen peroxide -  plastic bags -  bug spray  - bottled water -  Gatorade  - buckets  -  - sponges  - mops - Blue tarps - laundry detergent.

And feeding the crews of volunteers that are moving from house to house, clearing out and cleaning.

As the days and weeks proceed, the needs will become more complicated and more expensive.

Ibby has direct access to these funds and every dollar you give will go directly to these efforts.  On the ground cleaning and clearing out of this national disaster.

Please give what you can.
