Hurricane Harvey has caused untold tragedies, for both people and animals. There are many animals in need of rescue and some that will be wandering the streets lost, hopefully put in the care of local animal welfare groups. Houston PetTalk is the primary source for pet information in Houston. We are a monthly publication that has been publishing for 17 years and one of our main goals is to help the animals of Houston that are in need and to educate the public about responsible pet care. So, it is our deepest desire to step up in this time of need and raise money for the many varied animal emergencies and continuing care that we possibly can. The funds will be used to help pay for medical cost of lost/stranded/anbandoned animals found during and after the storm. Through our 17 years of providing pet information to Houston, we have many relationships with local veterinarians that we will coordinate with to disperse funds and look for as many low cost options as possible.
There will be many animals with wounds, illnesses, injuries, starvation, parasites and more. Please help us help these animals...they need their human stewards to take care of them and be their voice because they cannot speak for themselves and they bring us so much joy -it is our duty to save, help and love them.
