Harvey Flood Relief - Wise Family

I am not one to ask for help from others, but the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey has put me in that position. Here is my story, written by my ex-wife Linda, who is helping to raise funds to help me and my daughter:
You may have seen the news reports of areas in west Houston that were out of any flood plain that are still underwater from the reservoir releases after Hurricane Harvey. One of the flooded homes belongs to the Wise family.
Scott Wise is a single dad who lost his job six months ago as a result of the company he worked for going out of business. He was offered an opportunity with a start-up in the same industry, which was supposed to have opened by now. The company’s new offices are flooded from Harvey, though, and now Scott doesn’t know what will happen with the job he was expecting to get.
With no job and a home that is literally underwater (with no way to even inspect it until it is dry) Scott is in a precarious position. We share a daughter, who is 13 and just started 7th grade. She lives with me (Linda) during the week, but spends many weekends and holidays with her dad. The loss of her father’s home has been traumatizing to her. She has been displaced from her second home, from the neighborhood where she has lived since she was 3 months old, and from her close friends there, who also lost their home.
I am asking for your financial assistance in securing Scott a place to live and helping him get back on his feet.
Your funds will go towards apartment rental and utility deposits, very basic furnishings, food, clothing, medical care, and transportation to/from his flooded home while it is being gutted.
We do not know what the long term outlook is for rebuilding or relocating, but your assistance will greatly help him at least establish a temporary home until he can secure employment. Any amount raised over the goal amount will go towards rebuilding costs or towards another permanent home, if Scott is unable to save his existing home.
