Harvey Survivor: Caran and Family

On Sunday, August 29th at 5:37a Caran Thomas and her family's life was forever changed as she was awakened to 2 feet of water in her home. She gathered the family and trekked through chest deep muddy water to the nearest shelter. She was blessed to have a wonderful employer that after only a couple of days in the shelter arranged forI her family, consisting of 1 baby, 2 -10 year old fraternal twins, and her oldest son and his wife, to be lodged at a nearby hotel. They lost their home, cars, clothes, etc. Their faith is strong but like any mother you want to provide stability and comfort for your children. She wants to be able to raise enough money to put a down payment on a house and car within 30 days so that this tragic experience can be put behind them and they can begin to rebuild their life.
