Harvey Flooded Sandi & Dad Homes

Hi everyone: 

I am Sybrina Durant and I just weathered Hurricane Harvey as he passed through League City, Texas.  While my home did not suffer any any wind or flooding damage, I wish I could say the same for others. . .in particular, my friend and sometimes co-author, Sandi Johnson.

As many of you know, Sandi Johnson is a strong woman who has been through a lot of tragedy and hard times in her life.  Just like she has gotten through them, she will get through the devastation that Hurricane Harvey has brought to her home and that of her 92 year old father.  Amazingly, he still lives in his own house which is just 2 houses away from hers.  Sandi is a wonderful daughter and the perfect caregiver for her Dad, fixing his meals and taking care of his needs every day. 

Both of their homes flooded and received extensive damage from the rain that Harvey brought in.  Sandi and her grandson have started the process of ripping out carpet and doing remedial clean up but they can also use immediate financial aid to get repairs started and to bring back some normalcy to their lives.  

I can't even begin to imagine what the final costs might be to replace carpet and sheet rock and the multitude of other things that might need to be replaced but if you can contribute something to this gofundme account for her family, you will be doing tremendous good.  

For now, this campaign is aiming to raise at least $2,500.00 within the next 30 days.  It may be extended if those goals are met.  Every bit of help will be appreciated.
