”He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.” – John 7:3-8
Harvest. Hope. Healing.
A place to Retreat.
A space of Hope.
When David and Sandi found the property they now call home along the McKenzie
River, months of prompting from the Holy Spirit spoke a dream into their hearts.
A place where people could retreat to grow closer to the Lord.
A place where those who are in ministry could go when emptied
and be fed living water again and find peace.
Where others saw a House, they saw a place of Hope. A refuge for others from
the world. They bought the house and suddenly began the work. But their world
changed when David began to fight an aggressive battle against cancer.
David, a man of great faith, a hero to three sons, began to fight the goliath of cancers
with the word of God as his ROCK slinging every prayer He had. He began a
19-month journey of chemo and trials, never once losing sight of the tremendous
blessings of God and the vision of what God had brought them to.
This home.
This Harvest.
This place of Hope.
With his beloved Sandi, Drew, Luke, Kaden, and family by his side, David arrived
with his Jesus early Friday morning, battling all the way to the end.
David’s legacy
will continue to flow through the living waters of life lessons he has taught his
amazing sons, through his dedication to his Sandi, and through the Retreat Center
we hope to help Sandi get going in honor of their calling together.
In Heaven and Earth, we believe this vision is meant to happen.
Harvest. Hope. Healing.
Those are the words that kept coming to David and Sandi as they prayed about
what God was calling them to do when they bought their property.
This is how their vision began.
This place is special. With the river flowing outside the window and a beautiful
orchard to explore, it also offers a safe reprieve far enough from town to get a break,
but close enough that you don’t have to travel far. The perfect balance. The perfect retreat.
Life is hard and messy, but God is good.
Let us allow him to restore and renew us.
So many of us have been blessed by the Jacobson family. We wanted to set up this
GoFundMe to help them with some final projects to help get their Retreat Center
ready so they can begin to bless others, sooner rather than later.
Your contribution will go directly to Sandi, who will use it to pay the painters
for the final projects that need to be painted, chairs for the meeting rooms,
and for some other odds and ends the retreat portion of the house needs
to make it comfortable for groups.
The Holy Spirit spoke the dream into the hearts of David and Sandi, and we
want to help the dream become a place that honors them
and their love of God, and of Hope.
