Hartsaw Family Hurricane Relief

So many people have lost so much because of Hurricane Harvey... it can be overwhelming to know who or how to help...  and I don't wish to put any one family ahead of any other, because EVERYONE who was affected needs help... but I do know this family...  and my heart cries for them. 

Tim and Teresa, Haley, Chelsea, CD and Josh... to know them is to love them.  I met Haley first, 9 years ago, when my first son was only 10 months old.  And for the years that followed, their family became my family as we watched each other grow.  I now have three boys and all three of them consider the Hartsaws our family...


When I went through my divorce, this family reached out to me and my boys unlike anyone else.  They babysat at no cost, they cut my grass and cleaned my yard, they even helped me fix my washing machine.  They took us out for meals, they sent us gift cards, even cash... never once thinking of themselves, but filling me with love and hope.  And other families have been blessed by their generosity as well -- as the Hartsaw family continually uses their own vehicles and equipment to help anyone in need - with ANYTHING...

And then Hurricane Harvey hit... 

and dumped water on Houston and the coastal areas of Texas like no other... And the Hartsaw family home was underwater... thankfully they evacuated and are safe... but they've lost so much...  Like so many other families, they now have to start over.

This family would NEVER ask for help... but they would be the first to extend their hand to help anyone else.  If you know them, you know that to be true...

Please help any way you can...  They are just now able to get back into their house with a vehicle, trying to salvage as much as they can - all the while knowing that the next step is to start the home repairs.  Any help you can provide physically - whether it be with the removal of damaged sheetrock, flooring, etc. or the cleaning that will follow, will be tremendously appreciated...  And I set up this GoFundMe because the extent of repairs and replacements will exhaust them...

And above all, I ask for your prayers, as this family seeks to stay positive -- FILLED with faith, hope and love!  Houston will overcome!  TEXAS will be stronger!
