If you close your eyes, I’d bet you can envision a profound experience in your life. I’d also bet this moment, whether fleeting or enduring, has shaped you and the life you’re living right now. Who knows, maybe it’s why you’re here on our page!
Today you have the opportunity to provide perhaps the most meaningful experience for six Hartford Public High School students. This experience will be momentous for the students, our city, and our country. Six exceptional young ladies have been selected, through a rigorous process, to attend the 14th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Cape Town, South Africa in October 2014. Imagine, the only six high school students from the United States, sitting with Nobel Peace Laureates and students from around the world learning how to teach, create, and live peace!
This is no ordinary learning experience. These students are ready to work and are empowered to use what they will learn in South Africa to fuel a more peaceful society in our city, state, and country. We cannot do this without your help. Please help us give these students what they deserve so that when they close their eyes and think of a transformational experience, they have this to think about.
