Harrison Guest House Restoration
Tax deductible
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Harrison House (Historic Harrison House), and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about Harrison House (Historic Harrison House): Harrison House, Inc. was established as model green historic home dedicated to the preservation and sharing of Las Vegas History.
Our mission is to foster better race relations through an appreciation of African American history and culture.
We offer tours to educate people about how America came to be racially divided. We educate people about their individual responsibility to overcome racism.
Former military veterans and residents of Harrison House include iconic entertainers Sammy Davis Jr., Harry Belafonte, and world heavyweight champion, Joe Louis who were forbidden to live on the strip even though they performed in Las Vegas during the segregation era.
Harrison House is on the Las Vegas Historic Pioneer Trail and is a place for reconciliation and atonement over a cup of Vegas Coffee.
Thanks to a grant from the Nevada State Commission on Cultural Centers and Historic Preservation, Harrison House received a grant for $95,000 and we are seeking matching funds to help cover the total cost of the restoration.
Your contribution will be acknowledged through signage on the property for years to come.
