Harriet’s Tanzania Expedition 2018

Hello, my name is Harriet. I’m 15 years old and go to St.Wilfrid’s school in Crawley.
I have volunteered to take part in a charitable expedition to Tanzania for 4 weeks with my school in the summer of 2018. To be able to go on this trip I need to raise £4000 to cover the costs of the trip, which includes a large donation to the local charities I will be working with.
On my expedition I will be helping with some projects to help the local community in the camps I’ll be staying at. Some of the major projects I’ll be helping with are building classrooms, digging water holes, planting crops for the communities to eat and installing fresh water tanks for the schools and villages. I also have the very exciting opportunity to do a Padi Open Water Dive as well as going on a safari and seeing all the incredible animals in their natural habitat.
This trip really is a once in a life time experience, that I’m very lucky to be able to join and I’m looking forward to it. I would really appreciate any donations to help my fundraising and will be very thankful for whatever you can manage. I only have 5 months till I set off, so I’ll be doing as much fundraising as possible before I go!
