Hope For Harper

Donation protected

We are reaching out to you on behalf of our dear friends, Chance and Chelsea Pursley. Chance and Chelsea both grew up in Rathdrum, Idaho. They are high school sweethearts at Lakeland High School. After graduation Chance went on to serve as a combat veteran who was deployed to Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division. After his service they came home to raise their family. They have two children, Harper (4) and Gunnar (2).
This fall their lives changed forever. Their daughter Harper was Life Flighted to Seattle Children’s Hospital after having a seizure. She was then diagnosed with ROHHAD, a terrible life threatening disease. Harper’s brain isn’t telling her body to breathe when she’s asleep so her oxygen levels drop and her organs don’t get the oxygen they need to function properly. Her body is losing control over the part of her brain called the hypothalamus and also her autonomic nervous system. To lose control of these two vital parts of your body causes a domino effect of symptoms that enable your body to function properly and ultimately survive. The life that her friends and family thought she would have, is not possible anymore. There are only 75 people in the entire world with ROHHAD. There is no known cure at this time. Treatment will be carried about by a team of healthcare providers in a variety of medical fields located in Seattle & Chicago. They are currently in Seattle going through a round of testing.
With constant trips to the doctor, time spent apart, and growing medical bills, the Pursley’s are in need of your assistance.
