Hey friends! As many of may know, my brother Eric and his beautiful wife Kelley have been preparing to welcome their 2 beautiful twin girls into their family! They were expected to enter this world January 7, 2018 but as many of you know, life rarely goes as planned. While enjoying a family vacation in rocky point, their lives were changed forever. Kelley's water unexpectedly broke for Harper causing her go into early labor. With 45 min of contractions in rocky point, the situation became serious enough that they decided being air vacced back home was necessary for the health of Kelley and her babies. Harper went 12 hrs without fluid before being born and needed immediate resuscitation. She was born September 10th at 6:31 pm. Harlowe, Sensing Harper was in trouble and not wanting her sister to endure her struggles alone, shortly followed and was born September 10th at 8pm. Born prematurely at 23 weeks our hearts were ripped into pieces as the doctors prepared us for the worst. What they didn't prepare us for, was how fast these two beautiful baby girls would steal our hearts Harper Reece was the biggest fighter I've ever met. Watching her fight for her survival was life changing. She gave us everything she had during her short time on earth. Harlowe cared so deeply for her sister, we could all sense it. The goal was to prevent her from being delivered, but when she sensed her sister leaving she did not want to let her come into this world alone and soon after followed. 8:00pm on September 10th Harlowe Rue was born. You could sense she was there to watch over her sister. The bond between sister was incredible. After fighting for what seemed like an eternity, Harlowe passed on September 14th and soon after on September 17th, her sister Harper joined her to live her Father in heaven. I can't believe how much of a lasting impact these two tiny humans left on our lives. They were absolutely perfect. I have felt so helpless during this trying time for our family. Eric has always been there for me and I want to be there for him. I can't do it alone but if anyone can donate to help them with the funeral and the medical expenses I would be forever grateful. We have experienced so much love and support we truly appreciate everyone who has reached out to our family. Please help me be there for Eric like he has always been there for me.
