It is with a heavy heart that we write this... Our Father, Grandfather, Friend has just passed away due to complications associated with COVID-19. He tested positive about 3 weeks ago and was hospitalized about a week and a half ago. As he was a generally healthy man, we had hope that he would pull through. However, the covid caused pneumonia, and his symptoms quickly worsened. Within a week, his lungs and his heart began to give out, and Today (Jan 25), we lost him forever. We couldn’t say proper goodbyes, and could not so much as hold his hand one last time because of the circumstances. It all happened so fast, and my family is still trying to process it. At 78 years old, he was the life of the party, always telling jokes and dancing salsa every chance he got. He brought so much light and laughter to the lives of everyone who knew him, and we are going to miss him more than he could ever imagine.
Right now, our family is also dealing with other difficulties brought about by the pandemic, including unemployment and financial instability. We did not foresee funeral expenses being incurred within the first month of the year, but unfortunately, here we are... Nothing is going to make this process easier, but we would greatly appreciate even the smallest donations to make it a little less stressful. Lastly, I'd like to remind everyone to cherish their families, especially their grandparents, because you never know how much you have left with them. Stay safe, God bless, and please keep my family in your prayers.
