Harmer family fundraiser

Joining together as friends, family and a community to help out the Harmer family who recently had their car stolen from their family home by teenagers whilst Vai was in labour in bed. 

As she heard them take off with the car her partner spent 7 hours with the police and the community on fb trying to locate the car for the sole purpose it was full of personal belongings recently packed for the pending birth of their third child. If the car was not found not only would they lose a vehicle, they lose three expensive car seats including the newborn capsule to bring home their new baby.  They would also lose their family camera and all memory cards that contained four years of memories of their beautiful family that can not be replaced. Also in the car was Vais hospital bag packed with newborns clothing and stuff she needed for the birth, anti natal records, ultrasounds, recently purchased birthday presents and lots more. 

Whilst the perpetrators were caught by her partner and the police they are young and escaping legal responsibilities for their actions leaving a young family devasted and financially burdened at a very extremely vulnerable time in their life. 

The car was completely trashed and crashed multiple times therefore they have lost their car and all three car seats. Some memory cards have been found but they have lost a lot of memories of their children because of the actions of these criminals. The criminals were caught red handed and released by the court system within hours of being caught allowing them to offend again. 

As the Harmer family is about to welcome their third baby together they have now have a trashed car needing repairing (if it isn't a write off), new safe baby capsules/car seats needing replacing.  Brock was also notified this morning he won't be being paid his sick day that he took to chase the culprits so now there is loss of income. (Had he not taken the day off the car would have been burnt out and precious memories lost.) The memories of their children were the entire reason they worked so hard in catching the culprits. 

This comes at a distressful time that a small donation towards car seats and car insurance excess would see this very deserving family get through.

They have attempted contact with some of the parents of the teenagers involved but have been ignored/unsuccessful of retrieving any assistance to rectify this criminal act!

These teenagers are repeat offenders that continue getting away with their actions and leaving hard working people out of pocket. This isn't fair. 

The Harmer family thank everyone for their kind words and donations during this time. Their community and police who helped them track down their car have been amazing and they cannot thank you enough.

Please dont feel feel obliged to donate but please share so we can try and help a young family get back on their feet to be ready to welcome their new child whilst being able to transport them all safely. 

We are hoping the families of the teenagers use this method to compensate the family if they don't wish to contact Vai directly however the avenues she has taken haven't been a success so far.
