Harley's Helping Hands

Many know Harley as an avid Mudbugs fan, others see him on Sunday's perfecting his slap shot in the rink playing dek hockey with a huge grin on his face playing the sport that he loves. Most of the time he is a shy and quiet person, until you start talking about hockey. Unfortunately, this past Sunday, Harley woke up with his foot asleep and a tingling sensation bothering him. He continued on to the rink to play in his game thinking that maybe he had slept on it wrong. After the game, those same issues moved into his calves. Finally, after a night of sleep, Harley woke up having no sensation from his waist down. Harley was admitted to Willis Knighton Bossier for paralysis from right below his chest, all the way to down to his feet and even into his hands. Unable to feel anything with the symptoms only getting worse. Doctors have since ran numerous test, but have been unable to determine a cause or a diagnosis causing Harley's problems. After many IV's, MRI's, bloodwork, a spinal tap and other tests, Harley and his family still haven't gatherhed the information they are looking for. Fortunately, this afternoon, they were given some good news when his transfer to Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas was approved by their insurance company. This Hospital is known for rare conditions and determining diagnosis that can't be figured out otherwise. On the otherhand, even with the help of insurance, the cost of his current stay, his projected future stay and the travel cost to Houston, Harley and his family will probably be left with a hefty bill that the insurance companies like to leave families struggling to gather every nickel and dime they have for covering the remaining bill. This Go Fund Me is to help Harley and his family with the medical bills once Harley gets his diagnoses, makes a full recovery and steps out on the rink again to start scoring goals!
