Dandelion Union Hardship Fund!

Donation protected

This June, 9 members of the Dandelion Union Organizing Committee were laid off or terminated.

9 passionate, talented, and fully trained members of the Dandelion Chocolate workforce were involuntarily let go. This has put a significant dent in not only our organizing efforts, but in those workers' financial security. The workers have not been given any promise of recall.

But the Union supports our workers.

We are starting up this hardship fund to help keep those nine workers afloat, while we pursue action against the layoffs. We are hoping for a recall of the employees affected, or a written commitment to re-hire those workers first when their jobs are being hired for again. But, that hope doesn't pay electric bills or buy food.

If you'd like to support the Dandelion Union Organizers, we appreciate anything that our community can give.

We intend to distribute the majority of funds raised as a weekly stipend to the laid-off workers. We will also be holding back a portion of the funds as an emergency reserve for any of the workers to submit an urgent need to. When this fund is no longer needed, we will be distributing all funds remaining to workers.
