Health Insurance and Help for Harborview's Staff!

Dear Friends and Community,
As we continue to process everything that's been going on, we've come to realize that we may end up staying closed for longer than the expected three weeks.
Due to our temporary closure as a result of California's "Shelter In Place" order, we reluctantly reduced our workforce of 80+ employees. This has invoked financial hardship not only to our restaurant, but more importantly to our staff and their families. It pained us when we had to deliver the news that we could no longer support them, as business has come to a complete halt. All of our staff are like our family members and without them, we cannot succeed. While they may be able to file for unemployment, it may not be enough to cover their own health insurance.
We are now turning to our community to ask those who are able and willing to help subsidize our employee health insurance expenses. The proceeds would go towards providing continued coverage for at least two months until we can hopefully bring them back to work. Part of this campaign's funds would also go towards helping our employees who seek assistance for basic necessities during the time. (Harborview has never charged any SF Health Mandate percentage.)
As a token of our appreciation, we will match 50% of your donation in the form of a digital gift card to dine at Harborview Restaurant & Bar. For example, if you donate $100, you will receive a $50 e-gift card to use when we reopen (whenever that may be)!
