Justice For Harambe

Raising  awareness for the safe study of Gorillas at the Cincinnati Zoo. The Zoo housed a 17 year old male Gorilla who was fatally shot  on Saturday May 29th, 2016 - after young child managed to climb and fall into the Gorilla enclosure.  At first the gorilla was seen protecting and helping the child from the crowd that was screaming and drawing attention. The gorilla put the young boy in the corner of the pen and shielded it with his 400 lb body. When the crowd grew larger, the massive endangered animal dragged the boy by his foot out of the shallow moat and into another part of the habitat. It is at that point that it appears the gorilla pulls the young boys pants back up and pats his back.  It is at this time that the boy tries to run away, however the gorilla was not done protecting the boy. As a result, the Zoo had to make a difficult and critical decision and end the life of this beautiful creature. The Zoo keepers attempted to call the massive gorilla, however he did not want to leave the side of this injured boy. (The two female gorillas did leave the enclosure when prompted) - The mother of the boy, claims she momentarily looked away and lost track of her child. A witness says she heard the boy joke that he was going to go swim with the gorillas, to which the mother ignored. The zoo lost a legend, a young endangered gorilla. The zoo lost a legend due to a patrons neglect. They had to make a difficult decision that ended the life of an innocent creature.. The mother is considering suing the Zoo.. Despite tickets indicating that the Zoo is not liable for injuries including death. Let's show some support Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.
