The Portsea Camp has provided over 75,000 adventure camp places to the children of Melbourne and country Victoria since 1946.
We support children with a range of individual, family and community challenges that prevent them from having the fun and carefree childhoods we would wish for them. The camp receives no government funding to provide camps and outdoor nature based education programs. The revenue derived from our school camping programs is returned to support our community and charitable work but we do rely on our networks of volunteers, community supporters and donors to help us upgrade and refresh our campgrounds and facilities so children have the best holiday by the sea we can give them.The camp provides an invaluable service to the children of Victoria – providing lasting memories; forging friendships that last a lifetime building strength and resilience and above all letting children have fun.
