"David underwent hip replacement surgery on April 26, 2017.
Three days after he got out of rehab, David fell seriously ill at home and was taken to St. Peter's Hospital ER in Albany, NY.
He was running a dangerously high fever and the ER doctors thought he might not live through the night.
It turns out David had a serious staff infection called MRSA which requires isolation and powerful antibiotics which are often used to combat cancer.
David was discharged 10 days later with a diabetic ulcer debrided in his heel which became infected more deeply and required his re hospitalization week before last.
He is now at home connected to a wound vac, still on powerful antibiotics with Visiting Nurse service.
Funds will be used to pay co-pays,which are financially crippling, hospital parking for Patty his wife, who visited David every day, meals and any monetary incidentals that are incurred.
