Hannibal's Enucleation Surgery

My name is Caroline Green and I am setting up a fundraiser for this beautiful foster kitten Hannibal, nicknamed "Prince". Hannibal is a 3 week old kitten that was left outside of a veterinary hospital all night with no blankets, and no food. He was found with his sister, Scarlet who is in great health. Unfortunately, the two were found covered in fleas and both dehydrated as well as malnourished. I have since nursed both of them every 2-3 hours around the clock for 2 weeks straight and am happy to say they have both doubled their weight. There is one thing holding Hannibal back from perfect health and that he is in dire need of an enucleation surgery. The enucleation surgery is a procedure where the surgeon will remove his eyeball. Hannibal has struggled with this eye continuing to grow and push out of his eyelid (yes, it's horrific). It is suspected that this came from trauma to the eye as his jaw is also a bit wonky. I have taken him to two vets, tried antibiotics, treated with artificial tears, terramycin, and we have tried a draining procedure all unsuccessful. It is now my final hope to get this eye removed so he can embark on a complete, and healthy journey. This kitten has had a super rough start, but I am hopeful to bring him happiness and health to live a long fulfilled life. I am pairing with a surgeon through the hospital I work at since the cost is around $2,000.00. They have agreed to do a discounted price of $1,000.00. I am a student, let's be honest, I am not wealthy. I wanted to reach out to my friends, family, strangers anyone willing to donate even the smallest amount to help out. I will be putting up all of this money from my own pocket and trust me ANYTHING will help. Thank you to everyone even listening to his story. I could go on and on about what a tragic life it has been for him but I don't want to. He is so strong and he has made it through the shadow of death.
