Hannibal vs. FIP

Donation protected

Hannibal needs your help!

Hannibal is 13 months old and just received some devestating news. FIP stands for Feline Infectious Peritinosis which I just found out exists yesterday. Apparently it is extremely common in young cats and comes in two forms Dry and Wet. Im not entirely sure what it is but I can tell you it is 100% fatal for cats in USA. Why just the USA? Because some guy came up with a cure in China that has a 60% success rate and basically saves cats lives. FIP has a cure! Soo were gonna do it, we found a group of people helping to fight the disease in America and were going to pursue it. We’ve already got the ball rolling but any help you can provide will mean the world to us.

Why should you help Hannibal?

I have never met a cat quite like Hannibal. From the day we got him he was a character. Those first few night we took turns sleeping with him in the guest room because our other boy slept in our bedroom with us and they hadn’t metyet, Hannibal curled right up next to our headsand purred away. Those mornings he woke us up by licking our faces. I know love at first sight is a cliche but for us it truly was instant. Spaulding and his boundless energy finally had a brother to bother when we were not home and that first night they were together they cuddled on the couch and we knew it was meant to be. Hannibal is a part of our family and my boyfriend and I cannot imagine a world without him. I know cats don’t live forever but we were expecting at least 13 years not 13 months.

We are going forward with this no matter what we get in donations, we have no plans to give up on Hannibal with or without the funds to do so. However, if you find it in your heart to help our boy live a long and healthy life and continue to bring us kisses, head butts and cuddles we would be beyond appreciative. Words would not be enough to express our gratitude.

I do also want to say that while we have a chance to save Hannibal, nothing is a guarantee with this disease. If the treatments do not work and if Hannibal passes over the rainbow bridge, what ever money is left over will be directly donated to the organization listed below. FIP isn’t a death sentence anymore and with help we can end this incredibly common and very preventable end to our furry friends.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and if you cannot donate, please keep Hannibal and us in your thoughts. We need all the love and support we can get right now. Were not ready to lose our baby boy.
