HANNAH IS IN THE HOSPITAL?!?!

This Hannah?

Hannah Sedlak, Hannah??

Sedlak Star-Star, Hannah?!?!!

How could she be in the hospital?!

Well, she is and I am.

What began as a nasty bout of Influenza A (the bad one running around, shoving its naughty tendrils up all sorts of noses and messing up lives), has turned into an even nastier case of pneumonia conveniently coupled with a blood clot in the leg that has broken and traveled to the lungs

Happy Birthday to Hannah
(did I mention I turn 26 this March 30th??)

Going on a four day stay in the hospital as of this writing on 3/25, Hannah’s medical bills are beginning to pile, what with multiple daily respiratory treatments, ultrasounds for her legs, an EKG, X-Rays, and a CAT scan. She obviously is unable to work her normal job of serving for McMenamins during this time (no virtual service industry yet) and while she is on medical leave to protect her employment, there is no income for the rest of life that’s still waging on in the background as she fights in the hospital wing.

Also, her medical insurance through her parents (remember turning 26?)was set to expire at the end of this month, but she has last minute set up a COBRA plan to continue benefits, albeit at an extraordinarily exorbitant price. Her new blood thinning medication to treat the clots will have to be taken twice a day for the next 6 months. It is not a cheap medication.

This fundraiser is to help create a buffer for Hannah so she can focus on the important things like healing her body and not let the stress and strain of continued life needs weigh on her as she goes through this process.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your generosity. Already, the outpouring of support from friends and family has touched my heart. There really are no words to describe how pitiful and low I feel cooped up and unable to help myself. Reaching out and asking for assistance is a very foreign concept for me, and I love you all for helping me out. I am blessed to call any of you friends. You fight just as hard as I fight when you fight for me. Thank you.
