Hannah’s Heroes

Rachael and Hannah have touched so many lives with their talents, optimism, smiles, generosity and boundless love. Please give back to them now, while they dedicate all of their attention and energy to Hannah’s recovery after her second spinal surgery.

There are a MILLION reasons to give this season, the biggest is that your Rachael and Hannah need your support!

What?! Hannah and Rachael... what’s been going on?

Long story short: Hannah was born with a form of Spina Bifida called Myelomeningocele.

She had her first complex spinal cord untethering done Aug 2016. She had a cerebral hemorrhage (bleed in the brain after that surgery).

Within the last week:
Due to the COMPLETE loss of function in BOTH of her legs a week ago they had to redo the complex spinal cord untethering surgery November 18th. Also with her history of the brain bleed they have had to take extra precautions to prevent another hemorrhage from happening this time around.

Hannah has been laying flat on her back 24/7 since surgery, and is now starting to regain some feeling and movement in her legs. Once Hannah is able to get up from laying flat ( her first day up is planned for Thanksgiving) she will start the journey of learning how to walk again.

THE GOAL: with long term physical therapy by this time next year she will be doing all of the things she loves. Those things include playing tennis, dancing, traveling and exploring Salem with her friends.
