Hannah's Bike Ride for Cancer

Hannah is 8 years old and is completing a 30km bike ride to raise money for cancer treatment for her best friend's dad.
Ade Newman was a keen cyclist and father of two young children before recently being diagnosed with High Grade B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (fast growing). Ade has endured brain surgery and chemotherapy in the last 9 weeks but the family were given the devastating news of a terminal diagnosis and that no further treatment can be offered on the NHS other than palliative radiotherapy. There are two privately funded options - the first is a drug called Lenalidomide, the second is proton beam therapy - both could give Ade time with his family and the chance to take part in a clinical trial in 2021. We need to raise about £50K for either of these options (gf.me/u/zb339u).
We are aiming to complete the bike ride during the school Christmas holidays. The day will be confirmed based on the weather!
Ade's wife, Terra Newman, is managing the finances to pay for Ade's treatment. Terra has been an amazing advocate for Ade, and has researched every option to give him the best possible care. Should we not hit the target or if Ade does get accepted to a clinical trial or his clinical condition changes (meaning the treatment cannot take place) the funds will help provide Ade and his family with the costs they will face on the next steps of their difficult journey.
