Hope For Hannah

Donation protected
This is Hannah, she is a 12 year old girl who loves reading, swimming and karate.  She is an A+ student with a heart of gold. Several months ago her mom noticed a small bump on the side of her neck.  She asked her about it and she said it was a little uncomfortable. Her mother reached out to her pediatrician and they told her to watch it over the next few months. Unfortunately, it started growing and became somewhat painful. After a couple of visits to the doctor, an ultra sound and an emergency contrast MRI, the doctors believed it to be a branchial cleft cyst but couldn’t be sure without a biopsy. No matter what, the mass would need to be surgically removed. It had begun to push on her carotid artery. Her mother did some research and found a doctor with experience in this procedure that could remove and biopsy the mass this month, but neither he nor the hospital is in their insurance’s network. They tried to have the doctor move the surgery to a hospital in network, but no one could schedule her in before April.  Like any parent they didn’t feel like they could wait an additional three months, especially since the mass had grown in size by over 25% in the last month and the doctor wanted to remove it as soon as possible. They are having to pay over half of the costs out of pocket; and because no amount of money is worth risking Hannah’s health, they decided to move forward and schedule the surgery. The surgery does come with risks, because of the proximity of the mass to the carotid, and because they won’t know the extent of what they will need to remove until they get in there. As you can imagine, the bills are going to pile up. The truth of the matter is that Hannah’s medical bills are not the only ones this loving family is dealing with right now. Hannah’s father has been dealing with a debilitating chronic illness that flares up often enough where it has kept him from working his job on many occasions. Because he is self-employed, the family has been impacted financially. Her mother works fulltime and takes care of both of them most days. The toll all of this is taking on the entire family, both physically and emotionally, is heartbreaking. I want to show them the kindness they have always shown others (both parents are in the field of caring for others) by helping lift some of their financial burden. If you can’t donate, then please pray and share this link to help show them that they are loved and supported.  But if you can donate, please help this amazing family with whatever amount you can.  Every little bit helps. The main thing that should be weighing on their minds is the health and well-being of their daughter, Hannah. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for your support!
