Hannah Rideout's Story --

Alyc took Hannah to the ER on Sunday, August 12th after noticing that things just weren’t quite right. Hannah seemed to be losing weight rapidly and unexplainable as well as showing signs of very low energy, and serious fatigue. She complained of being thirsty but not being able to quench her thirst and didn’t have the energy to even do simple everyday tasks. When it came down to it, she didn't even have the energy to walk and had to be carried down the stairs from the bedroom to the truck. On top of strep throat and influenza, doctors have diagnosed Hannah with type one diabetes, a chronic illness that will be life changing and constantly under supervision moving forward. This was such a surprise to them as it is extremely rare to develop at a later age, and extremely frustrating as doctors do not know exactly why Hannah developed it now. Though Hannah was hours away from a diabetic coma and possibly death on Sunday, after several days of being hospitalized, Hannah’s sugar is not stabilized, however, it is a long road to full recovery.

The most difficult thing for Hannah to overcome is all of the new lifestyle changes and practices she has had to learn and implement in 5 short days including strict diet, insulin shots, and checking her blood sugar. Unfortunately, her insurance does not cover a lot of these new practices. On top of all of that, Alyc and Hannah's house is in the middle of a house-wide remodel. At this time, Hannah is unable to go back to work and is not able to use paid time off or sick days as she is paid on 100% commission—therefore their family budget is barely manageable at this time.

At this time, Hannah and Alyc are more than blessed by your loving thoughts and prayers for Hannah’s healing and recovery. They are honored to be loved and supported by a family they live to serve and pour into. This is an amazing time that we can all come together, as a family and give back to them. We are believing that there will be a recovery because we follow God who is for us and not against us. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. So family, please continue praying and believing for God to continue covering them and to bring blessing to this loved family. If you would like to tangibly help Hannah and Alyc at this time, we have arranged this go fund me specifically for Hannah’s medical supplies and for groceries for her strict new diet. Everything is totally appreciated.
