Hank Kindell Fund

On Sunday September 16th, Hank was in a street bike accident.  Due to unfortunate and unexpected circumstances he crashed and suffered from bruises, cuts, gashes, a concussion and major road rash all over his body.  He has received dozens of stitches and staples from head to toe. The worst part was the damage done to his lower left leg. The wound is so deep that it has exposed the ankle joint which puts him at a serious risk for infection.  This means that he will be required to undergo several surgeries to repair the ankle successfully. As of midweek, he has had two debridement surgeries. At this time it is still uncertain of how many more surgeries are required. He is waiting to see a plastic surgeon who will permanently repair the ankle with a skin graft.  


That afternoon he was taken by ambulance to the nearest emergency room for initial trauma care. Later that night he had to be transported to a different hospital that had the necessary resources required to treat his ankle.  Once he arrived at this hospital, they put him through the whole ER routine again. So far Hank has had two ambulance rides, two emergency room visits, CT scans, ultrasounds, x-rays, and two surgeries. He was admitted Monday and cannot be released until the final surgery due to circumstances surrounding the medical equipment needed for this type of injury. It is still uncertain as to how long he will need to stay in the hospital.  Bottom line, the medical costs are piling up on the Kindell family.



The most unfortunate part of this whole experience is that Hank just started a new job a couple of weeks ago, and his insurance coverage has yet to kick in.  This has been a devastating blow to the entire family physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. We all know how much emotional stress and anxiety medical costs can be, especially when it is going to have to come out of pocket.  The Kindell family is going to need any help we can offer. I am hoping that with a little help from us, their friends and family, we can alleviate some of their financial burden through this GoFundMe page. Hank, Jacque, Eli and Shayne are so appreciative of all of the love and support they have received.  We do not want to burden anyone as we know that times are tough for most people right now, but any contribution would help them during this difficult time.
