Handicapped Bathroom for Mark

Most of you know that my son Mark is fighting a terminal illness. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy came barreling into our lives back in 2007 when Mark was just 3 years old. He got his first wheelchair at 5 years old and now here we are desperately needing a handicapped bathroom. Mark is still very mobile and is able to maneuver around however he is losing is abilities to perform personal hygiene care. This is where the handicapped bathroom is desperately needed. I need to be able to clean and care for him and the current bathrooms are just to small. This handicapped bathroom remodel is right under $15,000. We have a great start but we are short about $4,000-$5,000.
We need to have the kitchen floor replaced with a material that isn't as slippery as what is currently in there. I haven't got that quote yet but I'm guessing a couple thousand dollars for that repair.
We already had new entrance way built that included handrails and an overhang so Mark would be able to have assistance on walking up and down the stairs, before there were no handrails at all, making it extremely challenging for Mark to get inside the house. That alone was $2,500. We will also have to start pricing a wheelchair ramp very soon.
As you can see there are several extra expenses and we're starting to realize that we need help. I'm hoping to raise at least $6,000 but would be overjoyed if we could raise $7,000. Having already done several home modifications I know there will be extra costs as each one of these projects start that we weren't anticipating.
Mark is a 13 year old teenager. He is already been though and will continue to go through so much in his life. Getting this handicapped bathroom would give him a better quality of life and it would help me be able to bathe and clean him with dignity and respect. It's embarrassing for him and I want to make bathing a quick and easy thing for him. Having this bathroom would give me more space to move around him and he would also have a seat in there for when he gets too tired to stand.
We really need this bathroom immediately for his personal health care. Mark and I appreciate any help.
I will also be doing photo sessions in Irmo and Columbia, SC at $25 each to help fund this bathroom.
