<div>I was asked to turn an abandoned garden into an oasis for children with physical and intellectual challenges. I created a handicapped-accessible, sensory/therapeutic school garden so that children confined to wheelchairs and walkers have access to an outdoor space filled with many sensory experiences. This garden allows children to plant vegetables in a supportive learning environment, ultimately encouraging them to grow socially, emotionally and intellectually.

<div>Nearly all children at this school are confined to wheelchairs and walkers and have significant emotional and intellectual delays. We created a space that offers a wide range of sensory experiences. This garden invites the student to touch, smell, see, listen and actively experience the garden with all their senses. We created a space where they can freely move around. These amazing children deserve something great in their lives, please help me make their dream come true!
