Hand Wash or Food - Hard Call When You're Broke.

I had fluke conversation today with Bex Wilson, the founder of a charity (Zarach) that provides beds to children in the Leeds region. "Partnering with schools to give every head a bed."
Less fortune families in West Yorkshire really have to make hard decisions to simply survive, ignoring simple necessities that most of us take for granted. Covid has hit everyone hard, but for these families they have to decide between buying food or simple necessities like cleansing products.
During our call Bex, explained that they are compiling gift hampers to over 150 families for the festive period. I would like to assist in extending that budget and adding to their hamper a simple provision of hand and body wash.
Would you help by adding a small donation? Possibly a tenner or maybe a twenty? It's the 4 pints from Friday night, which you are not going to spend because the pub is closed, It's not much to ask and it really will make a difference during this difficult time.
Some background to our meet; Our conversation came about because of my post of Facebook selling a double bed. A lady had committed to the purchase (£50.00) and was awaiting to hear from her father for help in collecting it. I received a phone call in the morning from a lady saying they were coming to collect the bed, the lady arrived, loaded the van and said thank you. I prompted her for the payment, she replied stating she was under the impression it was free, but she pulled out her phone and transferred the money. I thought nothing of it. Then this evening I received a phone call from the founder of the charity Zarach, saying one of her volunteers was a little upset after having to pay for a bed she thought was free! It was at that point the penny dropped for me, it was a different lady with a van. I had offered the bed to the charity a week before and at no cost, but had not heard anything.. We had a great conversation, she explained about the charity and its purpose to provide beds to children. So here I am, trying to just help a little more.
