Hand surgery & healing for Edna Vazquez

Over the Fourth of July weekend while camping with family and friends I had an accident with a machete. I sliced my left knuckle and damaged the tendons that move my finger. You can imagine, this is very difficult for me as a guitarist and musician.
It’s been tough but I go with changes and have faith and resilience. I share this because it’s hard to not be able to grab my guitar and sing to you. This hurts me but there is hope.
I had surgery Friday, July 10, and fortunately, everything went well and my hand is slowly healing. While I am grateful that my insurance covered my medical costs (thank goodness) I will no longer able to play my guitar and work. Surviving COVID-19 as a musician has been difficult but I made it work. I know my ability to continue hustle during this time will be challenging with my injury and I need to devote these next few months to healing. I’m asking for help to get me through the next three months.
I would appreciate if you could support my healing by contributing and sharing this campaign that is organized by my family and friends.
I encourage you to appreciate what you have and accept the things that come to you because it all happens for a beautiful reason. I will continue singing to you either way, even if it’s in a different way.

Durante el fin de semana del 4 de Julio mientras acampaba con mi familia y amigos accidentalmente me corté el puño de la mano izquierda con un machete. Me desgarre el tendón que mueve el dedo índice y estoy pasando por momentos difíciles.
Les quería compartir ya que no podré tocar música por un tiempo mientras realizo mi recuperación, esto obviamente me duele mucho. Lo bueno es que estoy bien y tengo fe y esperanza en que las cosas saldrán bien.
La operación fue Julio 10 y afortunadamente todo salió bien y estoy recuperándome poco a poco. Mi seguro cubrio el costo de la operación, gracias a dios. Les agradezco sus oraciones.
Por algún tiempo no podré tocar ni trabajar en la música que es mi único sustento económico. Sobreviviendo Covid como músico ha sido un desafío, y estando buena y sana hubiera salido adelante sola, pero siendo honesta, ahora con mi mano en recuperación el desafío es aún más grande.
Les agradecería mucho si me ayudan a recaudar fondos para los próximos 3 meses que cubrirá mis gastos económicos durante mi recuperación. Aquí tienen datos de la campaña organizada por mi familia y amigos.
Los animo a que aprecien las cosas que tienen y acepten las cosas que les suceden porque todo pasa por una razón muy bonita. Les voy a seguir cantando de todos modos, aunque sea de forma diferente.
