Hand Sanitiser for Watford Mencap

BeGin Again have been raising money recently to provide local hospices & NHS departments with much needed Hand Sanitiser as they are struggling to source their own through their usual suppliers. Now is the biggie and a cause my family have a personal need to thank. I too have volunteered with my PAT dog Bertie for these lovely people......Watford Mencap.
They are very short of hand sanitiser and in desperate need for more. This is a message from them 'Lovely to speak with you earlier. We’d be so grateful for any hand sanitizer you can let us have via crowdfunding.
As a charity we have taken the decision to prioritise the 32 people we care for in our 8 residential homes and supported living projects as many of these people have nobody else to turn to. Most of these people require 1 to 1 support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Also our Care & Support service is still working hard and already picking up additional clients supporting those who are living alone in the community and families with children in crisis.
Our current Head Office is closed to all visitors and non-essential staff and from next weekend we will also be providing 7 days a week cover to ensure our residential projects remain stocked and staffed. We are trying to keep life as normal as possible for the residents because unfortunately many of them do not have the intellectual capability to understand what is going on. For example, it was Cliff’s birthday last week – he lives in one of our residential homes and we are effectively his family. The home manager arranged a birthday party for him which was quite a challenge given that we’re trying to socially isolate!
Fortunately our staff have been amazing – very flexible and happy to be deployed wherever needed because of their commitment to the people we support.
If we could have some hand sanitizer to share across the 8 projects, we’d be really grateful!
