Halsnead Allotments and Social Supermarket

As most people know we currently run a social supermarket every Tuesday 2-5pm. People pay £4 and get £16.00 worth of food which is 1600 points.

We are based at Halsnead Allotments in Whiston which is situated behind The Tesco in Whiston village.

At the moment we have about 180 families registered and at least 75-85 people who attend weekly.

We would like to extend the hours to open later and if we receive enough money open an extra day.

All of this is run by volunteers who do this for free for our local community.

We want to be able to help as many people within our community as we can and this is not possible without money to purchase the food, toiletries and other items that we offer to families struggling due to the current food crisis.

Anybody in Knowsley can access our social supermarket regardless of whether on benefits or working.
