Half Marathon Charity Fundraising

Hey everyone!! My name is Rachel Mariani, I am a 20 year old university student who will be running the Scotiabank Toronto Half Marathon in October. I have last-minute decided that I would like to add more of a purpose to my run so I would like to raise money to donate to Outward Bound Canada's camping and Leadership Programs for Indigenous Youth and Adults (http://www.outwardbound.ca/course_index.asp?Category=112). The mission of Outward Bound is "to cultivate resilience, leadership, connections and compassion through inspiring and challenging journeys of self-discovery in the natural world".

I feel like camping is a key way to help people build necessary skills, make life-long friendships, and help people escape whatever is going on in their home life and just enjoy the beauty that all the Canadian landscapes have to offer. As a camping enthusiast myself, I resonnate with the mission of this charity. 

 Any donations recieved will help offset travel costs for participants, purchase gear for trips, and provide an enhanced camping experience for all participants.
