Roger's Recovery

On behalf of Roger, we, his family, would like to take this time to thank everyone for the awe-inspiring outpour of care and concern that has been communicated to Roger and our family since his initial hospitalization. To those who have sent cards, flowers, gifts, etc., and especially to those who have taken time from your hectic and demanding schedules to come visit, we are truly… truly grateful. Your continual prayer and encouraging words of love and support have been so uplifting and have made a tremendous impact on all our lives. Words cannot begin to convey our sincerest gratitude over these past few months.

The result of Rogers’ coronary bypass surgery was rather bittersweet, against all odds and by the grace of God, he survived the procedure itself successfully. Unfortunately, during surgery he suffered a massive stroke on the right side of his brain.  As you can imagine the road to recovery will be overwhelmingly challenging to say the least. Those of you who know Roger well, know that if nothing else, he is the most stubborn of individuals. We are counting on this for his recovery.

 We also want all of you to know how overwhelming the offers to help us with the care for Roger are and how much we appreciate your continued efforts. We as a family are going to have to caring on his medical insurance once his employers insurance terminates as well as continue his housing and strenuous physical therapy either in a facility or at home. With the continued offers and the numerous acts to raise funds for Roger grow, we as a family decided to welcome your offers if you still choose to help. This is very difficult for our family to do as you know Roger he never asked for anything, never had his hand out but we believe if ever there was a time, it would be now.

We love you all and again thank you so much for all the support, gratitude, words of encouragement, cards, gifts and most of ALL the love for Roger and we as his family have felt over these past couple months.
