Put my brother to rest
Donation protected
My name is Connie Dibble and I am trying to raise funds for my brother, Patrick Meyers. On Wednesday morning, November 8th, my brother died. He was 36. It was only 9:45 in the morning when my son came home and found Patrick face down on the floor of his room unresponsive. We called 911 and I waited for the paramedics while my son was directed by the operator to perform chest compressions. Only minutes passed after the paramedics got there that he was pronounced dead. I was down the hall in my room and didn’t know my brother was on the floor dying.
Patrick had gallstones. The symptoms are very painful. It was to the point he should have had surgery to remove them. He took a pill for the pain as he was getting ready for work. As a delivery driver for FedEx, he handles heavy packages all day. So he took it to manage the pain so he could work. He had no reason to think one pill would do any harm. A pill he got from someone. A pill that was laced with fentanyl. A pill that killed him.
We, his community; We, his tribe, are devastated by his passing. It was so sudden. It was so unnecessary. Now all we are left with is putting him to rest.
We are humbly asking for donations so we can have a memorial in his honor. We want to provide a place where we can gather together, remember our love for him and say our goodbyes.
In our most desperate grief, we thank you.
