Haiti Well

Donation protected
Tyler and Vanessa hosted my group while we were on a missions trip to Haiti. They opened up their home to us and blessed us, not only their presence, but with how they cared for us while we were in Haiti. They are currently trying to build on the property they recently purchased in order to make a trade school for young people in Haiti to learn practical skills. This property would also be a ministry for Jesus. They work with an orphanage, a prison, and ASL (a street kids club) and saw that access to trade skills could drastically improve the condition of many in Haiti.

In order to make this happen they need to build a well on the property. The pump action spicket at the entrance of the property would allow it to be used by the community for cooking, cleaning, and drinking. They would also like to purchase land next to the property so that they can oversee the work and be accessible to the school once it has been built.

The school will focus on trade skills such as masonry, small engine repair, pavers, electrical technician, welding, carpentry, and flat work as well as other skills. They already have people in the USA who are willing to come teach at the school once it is operational.

What I found so impressive about this endeavor is not only that God has clearly ordained it, which will always be reason enough, but that it has been planned in a way that will best benefit the people of Haiti. They will hire locals to do the work on the property and allow those in orphanages to attend the school. We are confident that God is watching over them and guiding them as they work toward this building, not only to help Haitians, but bring them closer to God and a relationship with Jesus.

They need $10,500 for the well. After my group saw Tyler and Vanessa obediently following God in Haiti we knew that we wanted to help them reach their goals. We are asking that you donate any amount that God is asking of you. If you can’t donate anything, we ask that you pray for them so that they continue to walk in God’s will and try to build.

Thank You,
