Hair We Go!

Hello Everyone!
Thank you for visiting my page.
I am beginning the process of becoming a profession hairstylist and I need training to do so.
Why do I want to become a hairstylist? I believe that helping people become their most authentic self begins inside, but for some it also is validated by what’s on the outside. I hope to help gender queer, gender nonconforming, transgender, queer and all others to have the look that makes them feel most comfortable in their body. When I am in a more financially stable place, I hope to give discounted or free hair cuts to those who identify as transgender, GNC, non binary and anyone who wants to break some beauty rules!

Here is where you can help me! I want to have the best education to help these individuals but that is expensive! While I work on getting a full time job to support myself during school, I am looking for a bit of help so I have enough money to begin the process.

Expenses
To be able to be paid as a professional hair stylist in New York, I must complete 1000 hours at an accredited Cosmetology institute and pass a licensing exam !
After touring schools in New York City, I have chosen Aveda.
Tuition for Aveda is $17, 395 plus a supply kit that costs an extra $2800 AND $100 application fee.
The licensing exam costs $50 to take once the 1000 hours has been completed.
Right now, I currently work for 2 non profits and freelance admin and social work. As you can imagine this has not left a lot of financial wiggle room for savings on top of that I have about $20,000 in credit card debt from when I lost my job which totals to about $500 a month in payments.
My rent is $666 a month, utilities are about $60 a month and I spend about a $300 a month for food and $100 a month for entertainment and personal expenses.

My personal story
I have been interested in hair since the age of 14 and have just recently found myself in a place ready to delve further into this interest. I started coloring my hair in 8th grade with manic panick purple... and you can guess how that turned out... #purpleears
Also, I attempted to cut my friend's hair in college.... she had to shave her head. Now, that I am smarter and have been dabbling with my hair and other forgiving close friends! Fortunately, all of these styles have worked out fairly well.
I can see a place for me in the World of Hair Styles. I wish to bring joy to people and help them express themselves in ways that might not happen with clothes.
