My friend Jessica and her beautiful family recently moved from Alaska to Minnesota. Jessica has been an ER nurse for many years. Because of their move, Jessica had to quit her job.
As a result, for the first time in years, they are without health insurance.
within a few weeks of losing their health insurance, their daughter Hailey was admitted to the emergency room. She had to have an emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix that had attached to her bowels.
She didn't recover well from surgery and had to be transferred via ambulance to Intensive Care at Sanford Hospital in Fargo North Dakota where she is still hospitalized.
