Haedan & Ben's Medical Mission Trip

Donation protected
Thank you for visiting our page! Ben and I (Haedan) are excited to announce that we will be spending part of our summer with Health Talents International during the week of July 7-14. We are traveling with a team of surgeons and nurses who will be performing eye and general surgeries for the patients seen at Clinica Ezell in Montellano, Guatemala.  These surgeries include cataract surgery, hernia repair, hysterectomies, and cleft palate repair for the rural Mayan and ladino population living in the area. Serving at Clinica Ezell is an incredible opportunity to help people who desperately need it, and will also be an eye-opening and character-building experience for us both.

We are incredibly grateful for your thoughts, prayers, well wishes, and financial contributions. Helping people in need of medical attention is the ultimate hope and dream for our individual lives. This is a tangible way for us to spread compassion and kindness and to begin putting our medical knowledge to work, to say that we are ecstatic is an understatement. All of the money that we are raising will go towards purchasing a flight to Guatemala City and to Clinica Ezell for the overhead costs of our stay. For those who choose to support us in any way, please leave your name so that we may personally thank you and keep you updated before and after our trip.

Interested in helping in other ways?
-We are able to bring unopened over-the-counter medicines with us to Clinica Ezell, please see the list below the pictures for a list of the most needed medications given to us by our trip leader. Please contact us if you would like to host a medicine drive at your office or church.
-For $30 a month, you can sponsor a child through Health Talent's ABC Program and provide them with  food, clothing, medical and dental care, and education. Please visit  http://www.healthtalents.org/index.php?page=abcsponsorship for more information.
